Relocating to Gettysburg

Historic Past, Vibrant Future and Growth
The mere mention of the name Gettysburg instantly recalls images of our nation's 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, uttering his most famous speech dedicated to those who lost their lives at the famous Civil War battle there. Indeed, the region lives and breathes our nation’s heritage as the site of both the Gettysburg National Military Park and the Eisenhower National Historic Site. Yet Gettysburg's finest days are not in its past; they are in its future.
Today more than 7,000 people call the Gettysburg-Adams County area their home, and the continuing growth of residential communities throughout the region (Adams County is one of Pennsylvania’s fastest growing counties) is evidence of the vitality of the region.

Scenic Countryside Just a Short Drive Away From the Big City
Gettysburg features a predominantly rural countryside, characterized by several miles of orchards along the eastern slopes of South Mountain and numerous quaint, small towns.  Yet urban thrills are less than two hours away in Baltimore, Maryland, or Washington, D.C.

For more information on living and working in Gettysburg, visit the Gettysburg/Adams County Area Chamber of Commerce.
