What to Expect as an Entry Level Professional

Because of the full service nature of our firm, entry-level employees can look forward to working on a wide variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. Tasks may include anything from preliminary studies and analysis to complex designs of infrastructure improvements.

In completing these assignments, the typical entry-level engineering employee can expect to work in one of our professional offices about 85% of the time, spending the remainder of his or her time at a client's facility or the project site.

On their first day, entry-level employees are assigned a sponsor, who helps them adjust to HRG's culture by introducing them to the “answer” people for every question – from “Where is the photo copier?” to “Who is the company expert?” on a difficult technical question. They are then immediately integrated into one or more project teams where they become responsible for completing tasks required by a project manager. A typical day may include working on one or several different projects and will vary depending on the project and area of discipline.

To get first-hand accounts of what you can expect to encounter as an entry-level employee with HRG, read interviews with recent graduate additions to our staff.
