Initial Public Meetings: Results
Initial Public Input Meetings
Why do we need Public Input Meetings?
The initial Public Input Meetings are just the beginning of a multi-step public engagement process that seeks input and opinions from the people living and working in the Claysville Area.
There are two reasons to hold the Public Meeting:
- To introduce the Master Revitalization Plan process to the public
- To invite everyone who can benefit from the plan to participate in its creation
At the Initial Public Meeting, participants will learn about the process that will be used create the Master Revitalization Plan, and meet the Master Revitalization Plan Steering Committee and the planning team from HRG, Inc.
More importantly, the Public Input Meetings are for hearing initial ideas and input from all people living and working in the Claysville Area, which encompasses all nine communities of the McGuffey School District. The Steering Committee has been hard at work for many months gathering support and laying the groundwork that allows the Master Revitalization Plan to happen, but the content of the plan can only be created through a transparent public engagement process.
The input gathered at this meeting, along with all the information gathered throughout the planning process, will be used to craft a set of recommendations that will become the Master Revitalization Plan. This means the Plan is more likely to benefit a greater number of people.
When are the Public Input Meetings?
See the meeting announcement at www.hrg-inc.com/claysvillearea/join-us-at-the-public-input-meeting/ for dates, times and location.
Or find your preferred date at www.hrg-inc.com/claysvillearea/events-calendar/ to copy the appointment to your calendar.
Who are the Public Input Meetings for?
All people who LIVE, WORK or PLAY in one of the communities of the McGuffey School District (Blaine, Buffalo, Donegal, Morris, East Finley, West Finley, or South Franklin Townships, and Claysville or Green Hills Boroughs) are invited and encouraged to attend.
What comes next?
Shortly after the first Public Input Meeting, a Community Online Survey will be opened. Everyone, regardless of whether they were able to attend a meeting, should participate. The Community Survey allows you to write in responses with as much or as little detail as you would like to provide. Using this second method of gathering input allows more people to participate, and more voices to be heard.
Using the public input, a Draft Master Revitalization Plan will be created. We will host a second round of public meetings to share the draft plan and hear your feedback.
To continue to participate in the process, you can provide your email at the meeting sign-in, through the upcoming Community Survey, or through the website at www.hrg-inc.com/claysvillearea/contact/.
