For over 200 years, downtown Claysville has served as the primary economic center between Washington and Wheeling. From its days as a rail and livestock shipping hub, to its role as a center for retail and services for residents in the region, Claysville and its countryside have depended on one another to sustain quality of life and economic activity.

While the Claysville Area has changed and grown, its charming Main Street has endured as a picture of classic, friendly small-town America. With more than XX mostly small, locally owned businesses, historic churches, community gathering places, and prominent homes, Claysville has a lot to offer.
