Thank you to WesBanco for their generous support of the Claysville & McGuffey Area Master Revitalization Plan! Nick Berish of WesBanco, pictured above with Revitalization Steering Committee members Dennis Dutton and Rick Newton, visited Claysville to present the donation.

Our continued success in bringing new sponsors and partners on board is a testament to our hard work and the clear potential for revitalization in the McGuffey Area.

As we complete fundraising and production of the Revitalization Plan, we especially appreciate the sponsors and partners who have remained engaged throughout the process. The plan document is only the beginning! There is much work to be done implementing the plan, and many more opportunities for sponsors to stay involved and celebrate our successes with us.

Share your ideas
The Community Survey is the easiest way to participate in the Revitalization Plan. It’s a busy season for farmers, teachers, and many others in the community – but it is vitally important that your voice is heard. In about 15 minutes, you can share your thoughts and ideas about the needs of your community now and in the future.

We heard you!
If your internet connection does not support filling out the survey online, paper copies of the survey can be picked up or dropped off at your municipal office. Contact us for assistance if you are not able to pick up or return your survey at your township or borough office.

Watch your mailbox!
In an effort to reach all community members, regardless of internet access, the Steering Committee has mailed a postcard announcing the survey to all postal customers in the McGuffey School District. The postcard contains instructions for participating in the Community Survey.

Spread the Word!
Once you’ve taken the survey, be sure to ask your friends and neighbors if they’ve participated. The more voices we hear, the stronger our plan – and community! – will be.

The survey will be open until Monday, October 18.

Kick-off for the Claysville Master Revitalization Plan

Welcome! We are excited to kick off the planning process for the Claysville Area’s revitalization. We have assembled a Steering Committee made up of representatives from community organizations and area businesses and have also selected a planning consultant. Read more about our team on our Partners page.

We are looking forward to an exciting year of events and community engagement. While Covid-19 restrictions are a challenge at the moment, this website is the first step in making sure our process is transparent and that you can remain fully informed and engaged. Keep in touch with us to be notified of online and in-person engagement opportunities. We are committed to offering a variety of opportunities for everyone to contribute in a way that is safe and comfortable for you.

As we work through the initial steps of the process, you can learn more about how we got started, and what the Master Revitalization Plan involves.
