HRG’s Clients Receive $11M+ in Funding to Support Their Countywide Action Plans

November 1, 2021 /

PA DEP offers counties thousands of dollars to support the development and implementation of a Countywide Action Plan to improve local water quality (and ultimately reduce pollution in the Chesapeake Bay), but there are many other funding programs specifically offered only to CAP eligible initiatives. To date, HRG-represented counties have received more than $4 million in awards from these other programs:

$1850000

Conservation Excellence Grants

$1520000

Growing Greener Grants

$1160000

National Fish & Wildlife Foundation Innovative Nutrient & Sediment Reduction Grants

This funding is in addition to more than $1.4 million these counties received in CAP Coordinator Grants and more than $5 million they received in CAP Implementation Block Grants (exceeding $11 million in total funding)!

As new landowners show willingness to implement projects, the demand for funding to support these projects grows, and counties will need additional funds. HRG’s financial services team closely monitors the ever-changing list of available programs, terms of eligibility, and deadlines to ensure you’re positioned to take advantage of all funding opportunities available to you. Right now, our CAP counties have applications pending for more than $18 million in projects to be implemented in 2022.

HRG is helping counties get more from their countywide action plans by obtaining additional grant sources, strategically targeting where investments will make the most impact, and leverage a wide partner network to cut costs and improve efficiency.  Learn more about Countywide Action Plan implementation services.
