For over a decade, Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) has been providing diverse engineering and related services for Sheetz, Inc., a well-known convenience store and fueling station in PA, OH, WV, MD, NC, and VA. Since 2000, HRG’s professional staff partnered with Sheetz, Inc. to complete nearly 60 projects.
From start to finish, HRG’s engineers, surveyors, and support staff are an instrumental part of the project team. First, a detailed topographic and boundary survey and a site feasibility analysis is performed to determine adequate utility services, access, and conformance with local regulatory requirements. Once a project is deemed feasible, HRG handles the site design and permitting, utility coordination, traffic impact studies, and highway occupancy (driveway) permits. Since these stores are typically located at busy, signalized intersections, an experienced team of traffic engineers is essential for project success. Traffic impact studies are completed as a major component in the preliminary design services. Additional services include representation at public meetings and testimony at zoning hearings.
The multi-discipline capability of HRG’s professional staff means that a team of engineers, surveyors, and environmental scientists work in partnership with the project stakeholders to coordinate all aspects of the work, providing a complete design ready for construction.
