Nick Hepfl
Engineering Technician
Mr. Hepfl has 10 years of experience working for non-profit organizations, universities, and Clearfield County Conservation District to implement water quality programs and perform research. He also has an extensive farm background working on his family’s farm and for a large grain and beef farm in western Pennsylvania. He has planned more than $5 million in agricultural projects and written farm plans for over 20,000 acres of cropland and pastures in his career. His areas of expertise include agricultural nutrient management, soil conservation planning, agricultural project planning and management, farm soil health management and education, water quality programs, GIS, and project funding strategy and administration.
In addition to agricultural specialties, Mr. Hepfl has experience with watershed management practices including, stream visual assessment surveys, aquatic species monitoring, riparian buffer plantings, water quality monitoring, and stream habitat improvement projects.
As a product of his diverse background Mr. Hepfl has a unique perspective on program administration and project management. His passion for agriculture, water quality, and conservation drives innovative solutions for his clients that enhance the outcomes for the client and the surrounding community.
