Lance Weatherly Named Assistant Vice President of HRG

August 24, 2022 /

Lance Weatherly has joined Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) as an assistant vice president. He will be responsible for managing operations in the firm’s King of Prussia office and implementing their strategic plan for growth in eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

HRG helps local governments and private sector companies plan, design and manage their civil infrastructure. Engineering News-Record magazine lists HRG as one of the top 500 revenue-producing design firms in the United States and named HRG the MidAtlantic Design Firm of the Year in 2021. The firm opened an office in King of Prussia in 2019, primarily serving water and wastewater utilities in Chester and Montgomery Counties. Over the past three years, they have almost tripled their sales in the region and expanded their services to include municipal representation, stormwater and watershed management, transportation, and land development. The firm plans to continue expanding operations throughout eastern Pennsylvania and expand into New Jersey over the next five years, and Weatherly will play a significant role in implementing that plan.

Weatherly is the ideal candidate to play this role because of his business acumen and wide-ranging expertise across all sectors of civil engineering. He has 18 years of experience in the design and construction of stormwater management systems, water and wastewater utility systems, and transportation systems. He has extensive experience with private consulting firms, which is complemented by public sector experience managing stormwater, wastewater, and civil projects for a 200,000+ resident community. He has a demonstrated ability to increase revenue and efficiency while building strong relationships with team members, clients, the community, and various regulatory agencies.

HRG’s chief operational officer Andrew Kenworthy believes Weatherly will be a great fit at HRG, saying, “HRG has always looked beyond the immediate moment to deliver long-term results for our clients, and we are uniquely skilled in the industry at helping clients acquire and manage funds to maintain their infrastructure. Lance’s work demonstrates a similar focus on long-term thinking and creative fiscal strategies across all of the services we offer. We know he’ll work well with our clients and our internal team.”
