HRG provided land development and site design services for the demolition of an existing nursing care facility and the construction of a new adult care facility on the same site. We also designed the relocation of Tressler Drive and prepared a Highway Occupancy Permit application for the removal of two driveways and the construction of a new driveway opposite of Meadow Lane.
The project included the relocation and extension of water, electrical, and gas lines as well as the construction of new infiltration/detention basins for stormwater management.
The new skilled care center provides 102 beds and is built around a neighborhood concept. The facility is divided into five different neighborhoods, each one having its own kitchen and shared living room area. It also includes a 1,900 square-foot physical therapy suite.
HRG previously provided land development services to Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries for an earlier expansion of the Buffalo Valley campus in 2000. This expansion included planning and designing multiple phases of independent living cottages and a community center. Our work on this project included the design of all site infrastructure (utility extensions, roadways, drainage, and stormwater management facilities).
