Forest Edge is a single-family residential development of custom homes on a 97-acre site in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) provided the site planning and design services for the final phases of this development.
The design uses the naturally rolling fields and dense woods of former farmland to provide a serene and private setting for customers to call home. Designers optimized the layout for quality lots, while preserving the existing vegetation and providing buffering within the landscape to enhance the tree and plant coverage. Our focus was on providing feasible design solutions that minimized impacts on the natural environment.
The community includes:
- 101 single detached lots
- Sidewalks that provide pedestrian connectivity to other residential neighborhoods in Cranberry Township
- A rustic pavilion that serves as a community gathering space and bus stop shelter
- Common open space where residents can enjoy the natural setting of the property
