We worked closely with the township to vastly improve park and open space infrastructure. We developed master site plan concepts for both existing and new parks of varying sizes. The community was actively engaged in opportunities to provide input, including strategically planned sessions held during public events. Input included a strong desire for safe pedestrian linkages to the parks and additional signage to create awareness of recreational areas. This was the first PROS plan undertaken by a new Parks & Recreation Department with no historical visitation counts and maintenance budgets. Therefore, the plan is a guiding document that establishes best practices and assists in building capacity within the township’s staff and volunteers. Our team prepared concept sketches and detailed design documents and assisted with the development of funding alternatives for the proposed improvements.
