Alex Bar Promoted to Manager of King of Prussia Water & Wastewater Group

Alex joined HRG in 2020 and most recently served as a water and wastewater team leader. He is a registered professional engineer and is certified in the condition assessment of pipelines, laterals, and manholes. He routinely assists with the design of water and sewer main replacements, pump stations, and treatment plant facilities. He is skilled at both engineering design and construction administration.
Caleb Krauter Named Harrisburg Water/Wastewater Group Manager

He is responsible for managing staffing, workloads and resource allocation to ensure that the Harrisburg water and wastewater team continues to deliver high quality projects and superior client satisfaction. This includes monitoring project schedules and budgets while enhancing the employee owner culture and supporting the professional growth of water and wastewater team members.
Krauter joined HRG as an intern in 2016 and earned increasing responsibility as a designer, project manager, and team leader before his most recent promotion. His technical skill, enthusiasm, and initiative make him a natural choice for the group manager position. He previously served as chairman of HRG’s ESOP Advisory Committee and is a 2024 graduate of Leadership Harrisburg Area, which teaches people to serve the community effectively through hands-on experience with local non-profit organizations. He is a member of both the Central Pennsylvania Water Quality Association’s board of directors and the Penn State Harrisburg Civil Engineering Advisory Board.

Justin Mendinsky Named Assistant Vice President of Water/Wastewater Services

The position was created as part of an ongoing organizational realignment to scale the firm for growth while preserving its commitment to technical excellence and personalized service. The realignment creates unique channels for client outreach, technical expertise, and operational delivery, ensuring each gets proper focus and attention.
Justin’s position is part of the channel focused on technical expertise. As such, he will be responsible for driving quality and consistency in project delivery across the organization by ensuring best practices are implemented across all water and wastewater teams and ensuring staff members get the training they need to meet evolving industry standards. He will also foster a collaborative, results-driven culture in the water and wastewater division.
Justin previously managed the water & wastewater team in HRG’s Harrisburg office and has more than 20 years of experience with the firm. He is active in the water and wastewater industry, serving in various leadership roles with the Central Pennsylvania Water Quality Association and Pennsylvania Water Environment Association over the years. In addition, he serves the community as a member of Carlisle High School’s Occupational Advisory Committee, ensuring engineering coursework reflects the skills students need to join the workforce and sharing work experience with the students in the classroom.
Mentorship is a key aspect of the assistant vice president position, according to Erin Threet, HRG’s vice president of services, and Justin excels in that role. She says, “Justin has been a mentor and friend to me since my first day at HRG, providing an impressive knowledge of how to bring projects to fruition. HRG Names Cory Salmon Assistant Vice President

Cory previously served as a group manager overseeing the water and wastewater division in southeastern Pennsylvania. He will now oversee all operations in Southeastern Pennsylvania, managing the firm’s King of Prussia office, its financial resources, and the supervision of local staff. He will also support key client management activities in the region.
Cory first joined HRG in 2014 as an intern and has steadily progressed through increasing levels of responsibility in the firm. He has been instrumental in establishing and growing HRG’s presence in Southeastern Pennsylvania, relocating to the area in 2019 shortly after the King of Prussia office opened. He has been a key team member or project manager on several noteworthy projects in the area, including the design of wastewater treatment plant improvements for Norristown Municipal Waste Authority, ultraviolet upgrades at Pottstown Borough Authority’s water treatment plant, and the interceptor rehabilitation program for West Goshen Sewer Authority. Cory is also actively involved in the local community as a member of the Nether Providence Township Planning Commission and Environmental Advisory Committee as well as a board member for the Central Delaware County Sewer Authority.

Roger Sandak to Lead Process Control & Automation Services

Adrienne Vicari and Staci Hartz Honored at Women of Influence Ceremony

They were chosen among more than 130 nominations because of their professional achievements, community involvement, and inspiring nature. We’re in awe of all of them but especially happy to see three in particular receive this recognition: Adrienne Vicari, Staci Hartz, and Mary Wagner Fox, all members of HRG’s extended family.

Staci is an engineer in our water and wastewater group who designs water distribution systems. She is also the group’s leading expert on hydraulic modeling and closely monitors drinking water regulation to advise her colleagues on impacts to our clients. Her empathy and strong communication skills make her a go-to source for information and fuel her passion for community service with her church, local food bank, and various tree planting events. She was honored as a Woman to Watch.
Adrienne is the practice area leader of our Strategic Management & Capital Solutions group and an innovative thinker whose work has received local, state, and national awards. She is also chair of the board of directors for Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania and actively involved in the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association Women Innovation Networking Group, two groups that give her the opportunity to support and mentor women of all ages.
Mary is the first female executive director of the Pennsylvania State Ethics Commission and wife of our water & wastewater group manager, Josh Fox. She investigates violations of the State Ethics Act and educates local governments on how to comply with the act. She previously served as the assistant chief counsel for the state Department of General Services, the state Office of Inspector General and the state Ethics Commission, but she is particularly proud of her work implementing PA’s Small, Small Diverse, and Veteran Business programs.
Both Adrienne and Mary were honored as Women of Influence.

Krauter and King Honored by Pennsylvania Water Environment Association
/in Company News, News-Water & Wastewater /by Judy LincolnCaleb Krauter and Alex King were both honored by the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) at their annual PENNTEC conference this week.
Caleb is a team leader in the Harrisburg Water & Wastewater Group. He received the Ted Moses High Hat Award for his work promoting the association and its programs.
Caleb joined the Harrisburg-area chapter of PWEA, also known as the Central Pennsylvania Water Quality Association (CPWQA) early in his career and began serving on committees right away. He is currently president of CPWQA and a member of its Bylaws and Special Events committees. He is also a vocal advocate for involvement in the organization, encouraging others to attend and actively participate in events.
Alex is an assistant project manager in the King of Prussia Water & Wastewater Group. She received the Golden Manhole Award for her work to advance wastewater collection system operation, maintenance, and professional development. Alex is a member of the PWEA Collections and Young Professionals Committees. She helps plan the collections system presentation sessions and organizes local networking and outreach events throughout the year.

Ben Burns Promoted to Senior Quality Engineer

(HRG) He will manage technical design standards with a specific focus on innovative wastewater process solutions, biosolids management, and energy production from wastewater.
Burns joined HRG in 2007 and previously served as both a project manager and team leader. He is a licensed professional engineer with certifications in odor assessment and construction document technology.
Water and wastewater practice area leader Josh Fox says, “Ben has demonstrated his knowledge and application of engineering principles on some of HRG’s most difficult projects over the past 15 years. Garrett Stoy Joins HRG as Water/Wastewater Group Manager in State College

Stoy will oversee a team of 11 professionals who design water and wastewater systems for public and privately owned utilities. He will also assist with sales and business development.
Stoy has eight years of experience creating engineering solutions related to drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, flooding, roadways, and solid waste. He works with clients to develop a long-term capital improvement plan and obtain funding to implement the plan.
