Mr. Leon Groff requested technical assistance from our team for the construction of a 116 ft x 280 ft under-barn waste storage facility. Mr. Groff worked with the United States Department of Agriculture – Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to plan and design the new waste storage facility through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). The farm received funding for the project, but it was not sufficient to fully construct the planned project. Our Strategic Management and Capital Solutions professionals worked with Mr. Groff to prepare and apply for funding through the PennVEST non-point source funding program. Mr. Groff was awarded a low interest loan to install the project in combination with EQIP funds. We assisted Mr. Groff with PennVEST administration, construction administration, construction observation, and final project certification in partnership with NRCS.
