Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) completed a parking lot expansion for the University Physician Center (UPC) at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. The project included the relocation of medium voltage electric lines and fiber optic telecommunication lines; installation of water supply lines and storm drainage; landscaping; and construction administration.
To facilitate timely construction of the project, HRG designed a temporary parking lot adjacent to the site. The approximately 40-space temporary parking lot project included site grading, the design of drainage facilities, and the preparation of bidding documentation.
HRG also completed a separate roadway improvement project on the campus. The project included the topographic survey of approximately 6,200 linear feet of roadway surrounding the north and west sides of the main hospital building. The roadway design improvements eliminated ponding of stormwater on the road’s surface.
